The domain names. Of 1 and 2 of characters put on the market!

The news has been the effect of a little thunder in the microcosm of Germanic naming. Before yesterday, the Denic (Registry. De / German equivalent of the AFNIC) announced in a press release that it would now be possible to register domain names. Compounds of 1 and 2 characters and figures. This type of domain names had previously been frozen by the German register.

This mini-Landrush will take place October 23, 2009 at 9 o'clock sharp and it is the (good old) on a first come, first served will apply.

It is interesting to note that the German register has not opted for the most fashionable of late, namely that of an auction. We can not accuse Denic to emphasize the commercial aspects. The first serve will not be the highest bidder, but the fastest. The technical and strategic control may therefore be beautiful. Ways to increase the chances of its sesame are diverse and varied. Among them, order from a large number of registrars - if possible with alternating larger and smaller - if you hope to fly with Peter if Paul is not quick enough.

But we're not in 1995: today, the stakes are such that even the Registrars themselves sometimes participate landrush (with advanced technological and administrative is theirs) to feed their private portfolios. From there to describe the maneuvering of insider trading ...

Sedo is further positioning itself as an intermediary in this mini-gold rush. The global leader in buying and selling domain names of German origin, could not pass up this golden opportunity to generate buzz.

Flakes - falling snow Excerpt from an e-mail received at time of future ex-provider Lycos: "More than 4 days before the shutdown of our hosting service and non-availability of your domain! March 1, will cease all LYCOS its hosting business and our customer service will no longer reachable. If you want to continue using your domain, your site or server, you must immediately transfer your domain and your site to another host "

A provision, therefore, severe drops in altitude areas.

No doubt some have already stretched the canvas below, and there will always be enough for onlookers surprised ...

Good pick for them then, and others: it's not too late to avoid appearing stupid!
