SedoPro Partner Forum 2008 - Act 3
Third and last act of the adventures of SedoPro Partner Forum 2008 before a special edition picture that I know expected by many of you: o)
Contradicting Monday largely devoted to outdoor activities and relaxation of the participants, on Tuesday posted a much more studious. After the traditional breakfast is in the conference rooms everything is played with 3 successive sessions offering choice 2 workshops:
- SESSION 1
- "Sale of areas: proven methods and tips for reaching end users, by Kathy Nielsen, Director Brokerage, Sedo LLC
- "Où Monetizing traffic?" By Lawrence Müllender Director P roduct Management Parking, Sedo GmbH
- SESSION 2
- "Roadmap marketplace for 2009: Introduction to the general strategy and Sedo overview of product enhancements," by Ulrich Essmann, Sedo LLC President and Director of Product Management Marketplace
- "Google Adsense For Domains: submission and optimization tips to maximize the performance of your portfolio of domain names parked 'by Michael Jäschke, Strategic Partner Manager Syndication
- SESSION 3
- "Protect your domain names in a hostile legal environment", by Cédric Manara, a lawyer and professor at EDHEC Business School and Jeremiah Johnston, Chief Operating Officer Sedo LLC
- "Sale of areas: determining your selling price to the successful negotiation, the best advice for selling" by Frank Tillmanns, Director of Brokerage & Acquisitions Europe / Asia Sedo GmbH
To not bore you with a lengthy description of the analytical content of the interventions in question, I will simply refer you to the PowerPoint documents recently posted on the site SedoProPartnerForum.com. The presentation of Cédric Manara, meanwhile, is available on his blog. For those who seek a written statement of Mr. Google, you will not be surprised to learn that there are none.
I take from these presentations - those that I could attend in all cases because ubiquity is not my forte - a strong sense of professionalism and quality. With special mention to Cedric, who has mobilized the attention of domainers the last minute by his enthusiasm. I am personally not a fan of legal analysis and I think he was not alone in this case in the courtroom under the leadership of Cedric, it takes about taste ...
The most awaited presentation, which even managed to get out of bed some revelers the night before, was well understood that Michael Jäschke Google. The theoretical part certainly has not reinvented the wheel, but has rediscovered the approach of the giant Mountain View on monetizing traffic. Part Q, meanwhile, gave an opportunity for domainers to make a number of reviews on product and income. But the crowd was relieved on one point: no, Google does not intend to disengage the parking segment. It has cons sensed a real desire to tighten the bolts of quality. The effects felt today (blacklisting, keyword overwriting etc..) Could well be the beginnings of a large laundry. It remains to what extent Google will reward quality where it will penalize the poor but that is another question.
So this morning studious that ends the Sedo Pro Partner Forum 2008 version. Time to eat a sandwich, to register their departure from Royal Riviera and to kiss and domainers are our friends out for their respective countries around the world (or just France, for the indigenous)
Having had the chance to participate in the last edition in 2006 in Holland, I think I can say that it was even more successful. Perhaps partly because of the frame semi-paradise in which it was held. But perhaps also because the secondary market for domain names has a long way since then and that quality, when the appointment is even more significant. It annually serves specialists a slice of meetings and various and varied view of the prices charged and sometimes hallucinatory geographical aspects, many must be selective.
But to my knowledge, no other event brings together not like Germans, Spaniards, Koreans, Italians, Russians, Chinese, Americans, Japanese, French, Holland, Lithuanians, Greeks, English, Africans, Indians, Swedes, Austrians, Romanians ... and I surely forgets. Passionate about cultures and languages, I must say that I took great pleasure in this multi-ethnic environment.
During 3 days, this little world has been sharing his views and his experiences, his doubts and fears, his failures and successes. And that's essential for the development of a market that still has good years ahead.
They had said appointment in 2 years ... ♪ ♪ ♪
